Iloilo to Phnom Penh Hybrid 2013 Updates
Day 5-May 23, 2013
Team Ross
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology
We praise God for providing us students who are qualified to be part of a team in reaching their campus for Christ.
We were able to met more Filipino Christian students and they help us identify Christians in their campus.
We did soularium, infinite forgiveness, four spiritual laws and follow-ups to some of our contacts. We then challenged them to be one of our key campus volunteer.
Joanna, Soklee and Michael accepted the challenge and willingly to be trained. We casted our vision to their campus and prayed it together.
Let’s pray for the following:
1. Enduring passion of Joanna, Soklee and Michael in sharing Christ and leading spiritual movement in their campus.
2. Opportunity to meet Christians students: Elda, Jem, Vitya and Yu Kim.
3. Follow-ups for Ben.
4. Open heart of Sharona to accept the challenge.
5. Wisdom in casting the vision.
6. To meet the father of Milcah and Mili.
University of Puthisastra
We praise God for our meeting with Vouwch Ngy, 1st year accounting student, a Buddhist. We presented and shared to her about infinite forgiveness. She became interested about God, about Jesus and His love and forgiveness to man and expressed that she too wants Jesus to be her Lord. We led her in prayer to receive Christ. Praise God that she is now a believer of Christ. We then casted to her the vision and about spiritual multiplication, and few information about movement. She then expressed desire of also doing the same. She is now a KV. We close in prayer and asked her to list down 20 names of people she knew whom she wants to share infinite forgiveness too. She gave us Shen Thai, a classmate she thinks who has potentials to do the same. We schedule a meeting with her for training of how to share (4SL/infinite forgiveness) on Wednesday next week. We contacted shen thai then and had a meeting in the afternoon, he is a 1st year English major buddhist student. We had a wonderful conversation with him. We found him potential as to maturity of how he thinks and influence but since he is a self-sufficient student, working as part-time teacher, we see time and his availability not enough to do what we are doing in the campuses. He gave us Sien Nye instead to contact to, a student of potential leadership in their class. We pray that the Lord will just reveal Himself to shen thai that he may believe on Him. Another appointment was with Ky Vaesna and Phorn Sokleap, as referred, they are said to be the top students in class and has the most of the influence in 1st year literature. We utilize soul peek to initiate conversation. We praise God how He gave us wisdom everytime these two challenges our ideas and the real existence of God. They are really potential leaders. We will be meeting them again on Monday to continue sharing about infinite forgiveness. We pray that God will open their hearts and God would prepare us as well.
Let's pray for the following:
1. For God to continue to make His new believers experience Him more and more each day.
2. Continue ease of entry.
3. May God will protect and will make Sreng Vourch Ngy, His new believer grow in faith.
4. 10:30 am meeting tomorrow with Srey Nyi.
Phnom Penh International University
We praise God for His revelations to us today. We trained Udom and we have seen his desire to share his faith. He is eager to know how to share the Gospel and we are blessed for the opportunity to train him. God has put His peace in our hearts. We may have not talked to any student today but God has taught us to be humble that no matter how trained we are to train, success in this mission will not be based on the number of KVs we have but how far have we gone in obeying God. Another thing is how are we going to obey God for our ministry when we get back to the Philippines. We praise God for His peace and revelations.
Let's pray for the following:
1. Udom's continuous growth and independence in studying the Bible.
2. Rasy's heart for we will be training him tomorrow.
3. More student leaders to be met and talked the Gospel with.
4. Our endurance (physical) because doing mission requires great physical works.
5. Our health that we may be able to stay healthy all throughout our stay here for the mission.
6. More opportunity to connect and deal with students.
7. Ownership of the campus we are working on.
