Can you remove a thread? (that belongs to yourself)

You can if you're within the 5 minute allowance for deleting a post. Otherwise no. After 5 minutes, site staff are the only ones that can delete a thread.

hope here of limitations to it :p
serious. pieces here can be some outcome of Holy Fellowship With Spirit. "thread can be somewhat silly, comments worth much, still..." :)
