Lucifer compared himself with another. He wanted to make himself like God. In order for inferiority to exist there must be a comparison. The sin of comparison. You look to yourself and then compare yourself with another. This is what Lucifer did in heaven. It is what the serpent had Eve do in the garden. It is the same thing we all do everyday of our lives. We are constantly comparing ourselves in all sorts of situations. Stop for a moment and think through the last few hours of your day. How often have you thought this person or that person was smart or dumb, beautiful or homely, nice or mean, rude or kind, arrogant or humble?
