Thought I'd start a thread for people to share their experiences coming out of various religious groupings or cults over the years. What have you learned? What were your experiences? What would you do to warn others to stay off the wrong path? I'd like to hear everyone's stories (even if you haven't been directly involved).
For myself, my mother's side came out of a JW background. I myself have never been involved in it. But I have seen the destructive power it can have. Our family is torn apart to this very day. My uncles live scattered and apart because they believe they have to be seperate. But I believe God is reconciling us as a family once again. Even through our massive disagreements over the years, God is still working.
