Well i am blessed 2 work with 4 christ n.p.'s on my diabetic treatment team,love them much as christians and as health care provider specialist,i may lose in time my left foot and 1'2 of left leg to the nerve pain,in time i am prayerfully considering doing it sooner on my own,having it removed some tell me no some say its up 2 me,some say i do not have faith for Jesus to Heal Me i do but Does Jesus Heal every 1 allways i do not know i think yes sometimes no at other times i just want to love Jesus no matter what my life to the fullest on earth for Jesus His Will His Glorly His Honor.as in John 10:10.,would it be maybe wrong to have this operation on my own in my timing?pray for pain management refreal and i would be willing to wait,i do not feel like waiting to be honest.i stayed up all night last nite afraid to go to sleep cause the pain would conme.thanx 4 all your prayers and for just listening to me.amen

I would really pray on it Jeff as I know that you are doing. The thing about it is you can get a fake leg and it would work just as well but better because there would be no pain. Its easy for people to judge when the pain is not their own so I wouldn't take that to heart to much brother. You have to remember that God placed the knowledge in human beings on how to be doctors and he made it possible for you to be able to get the treatment that you need as a human being with human doctors. Just something to think about. Reminds me of that story where the town flooded and there sat this guy on his roof who called out to God to save Him. Well 3 times God had sent someone to save him and the guy turned them away saying he was waiting for God. Finally he died and asked God why he didn't save him and God told him I sent 3 people to save you!
So see what I mean? Pray on it and our Lord will guide you in what to do. Fasting is a good way also.

ok everything inside of me is screaming for me to tell you to get the surgery brother. Honestly, how would man have the knowledge to do the surgery and give you a new leg if it wasn't our Lord putting that knowledge into our heads? Do you see where I am going here? I am speaking from my heart here. I see no reason for you to stay in pain when you can make the pain go away yourself. Its kinda like God giving you the tools.....use them brother, use them. Just my thoughts. Holy Spirit perhaps? I don't know, it could be all just me. Don't cease praying but please take my words into account okay? Blessings to you

PRECIOUS OFM. IF I TOLD YOU WHAT I THINK I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WOULD DO IT. I HAD SUCH BACK PAIN, THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO SIT. I HAD TO HOLD ON THE THE SEAT AND SLOWLY SIT DOWN. THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE. ALTHOUGH I TOOK NOTHING FOR IT. I JUST TRUSTED FOR HEALILNG ONE DAY. SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD BACK SURGERY IN THE SAME SITUATION. SOME PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT PAIN TOLERANCE. WELL, WITH EXERCISE, THE MORE THE BETTER, IT JUST LEFT ONE DAY. I STILL NEED TO BE CAREFULL, BUT I AM PAIN FREE, AND NEVER TOOK ANY MEDS. I KNOW THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES TO PAIN MANAGEMENT. THERE IS LIDOCAINE PADS, OR DID YOU ASK HOT OR COLD SOAKS, IF IT IS THE NERVE, IS IT A PINCED NERVE. HAVE YOU TRIED THE SOLE TREATMENT STONE SHOES, OR THERE CALLED THERAPUETIC SHOES, AT AMAZON. I KNOW YOU A BIG COFFEE DRINKER, IS CAFFIENE IRRITATING IT. PRAY ABOUT IT, THERE COULD BE A COMPLICATION WITH HEALING, SINCE YOUR DIABETIC. I DON'T LIKE HOSPITALS, IT'S LIKE THEY GIVE YOU STUFF YOU DON'T NEED, LIKE GERMS ETC. ARE YOU USING THE DIABETIC SOCKS, AND SHOES. I WOULD NOT DO THIS IF ALL THE ALTERNATIVES HAVE NOT YET BEEN EXHAUSTED. ARE YOU GIVING YOURSELF TIME TO REST, OFF YOUR FEET, HAVE YOU TRIED IT AND WHAT IS THE OUTCOME. PRAY ABOUT THE IF ANY IF THE DR. SAYS COULD RESULT IN COMPLICATIONS, BECAUSE OF IT. GO ONLINE AND TYPE IN YOUR SITUATION, AND FIND SIMILAR OUTCOMES, OR REMEDYS, HAVE YOU TRIED HERBS, FOR DIABETIC NERVE PAIN, CHINEASE HERBS, OR OTHER. I PRAY THT YOU WILL BE PAIN FREE, THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAD YOU TO A SOLUTION. Hello Jeff
I was thinking about you all day yesterday and wondering if you were alright cause I know that you have this diabetic condition. Please don't listen to people who say you have no faith that Jesus will heal you cause I lived under this condemnation for so long until the Lord released me from it. Just hand over everything onto God and rest in Him. Why God heals some people and some not, we don't know and we don't need to know. The only thing we need is to just rest and trust in in Him.

Father God in heaven, we lift Jeff up to you and we ask that you put your arms around him and comfort him through this time of suffering with this illness. Give him wisdom to make wise decisions about his body.

Lord he will lie down and sleep in peace, he will have no fear, for you alone O Lord, make him dwell in safety.
Touch his body Lord and take away pain. We pray for a good night's rest for him and rest and peace during the day as well.

Jeff who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Jeff says of the Lord "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust" (Ps 91:1-2)
Jeff has set the Lord always before him. Because the Lord is is at Jeff's right hand, Jeff will not be shaken. Therefore his heart is glad and his tongue rejoices; his body also will rest secure (Ps 16:9)
May your unfailing love rest upon him

Thank you Lord for being his shelter and refuge and we thank you that his life is in your hands.
May you bring healing to his body. In Jesus name, amen :)

Firstly, AMEN to Twinkle's prayer. :)

I have to agree with her, Jeff. Diabetes isn't like any other condition, and nerve pain itself is excruciating.
People who have never experienced it have no idea...and I completely understand your wanting to stay awake. I'm so sorry! :( :(
I've dealt with all sorts of pain, but the nerve pain has been the worst, no contest. (and that includes labor [childbirth] pain!)
Who knows...maybe your timing and God's timing are one and the same? :)

Please, please do not allow others to condemn your precious faith like this, honey. :(
(I'm sure they mean well, but unless they've lived what you're living, it might be better if they just cried with you.)

Personally, I think it must take great faith to consider losing the limb. I can't imagine being in your position.

Abba, here is Your beloved Jeffrey. You have given him to us, both as a brother in Your Son, and as a pure blessing here on this site, and I thank You. ♥
I ask that you give him Your wisdom as to what You want him to do in this circumstance.
Please, relieve this pain, bless him with sleep, and keep fear far from him.
He wants to do Your will, Lord. How neat is that? Thank You for that witness, Abba, and as Jeff just wants You, and Your will, I believe You will give him the knowledge he needs to accomplish that.
I ask that You will silence any voice that isn't You, including my own, Lord God, should I say anything that opposes You.
Lord, please grant Your wisdom to Jeff's docs, and place Your will in their hearts, even if they don't realize it.
Jeff comes humbly to You to receive Your instruction. I believe You will honor that need, and I thank You, and offer praise to You and Your wondrous ways, in Jesus, amen.

Pain of any kind can be difficult, it saps energy and makes iit hard to focus on other things.

I agree with Jkalyna in looking at all of the alternatives first, but most importantly to seek God and His will. Which ever option you take
ask God to open the door if it is right and close the door if it is not right for you.

It is drastic to loose a leg but if it is any help there was a man in my church who had 2 artificial legs, both up to the hip. He use to get about just as much as anyone else. He even use to climb the tall ladder in the church to replace the bulbs in the high ceiling lights - even though everyone told him not to! He even use to ride a bicycle.

Dear Father God i thank you for the faith and perseverance of OFM, for his gentle spirit and for his words of encouragement given to others.
I prayer for this situation he finds himself in and I prayer that your perfect will, would be done in this situation. I prayer that OFM will have peace on this matter and He would know which way to turn. that you would show him clearly what he needs to do.

Lord you know your plans for OFM you know what the future holds and I just prayer that this time will be a time of strenghtening of faith, of spiritual growth of developing a closer relationship with you. That OFM will move on from this season with rejoicing as you reveal your plans to him.

Oh you know what - the thought keeps coming to mind that there is so much more to do - I dont know if that means anything to you right now.

im praying for you jeff i pray for healing i have diabetes now i have to take glucophage 2 x day ,ive been in severe pain in my left hand n arm i have nerve damage in it , the pain keeps me up they put me on pain meds it isnt working , it burns and goes numb the dr is considering putting a pain pump in i wouldnt wish this on anyone , i check my blood 2x day so i will pray for healing ok miss you praying you get better MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND HEAL YOU

I just want to say that I know of the nerve pain all to well. I get it everyday but its my own fault because I don't take care of my diabetes very good at all. But the nerve pain comes from diabetes in general not just form situations like mine where they don't take care of it. The pain gets bad I mean I can't tell you how many nights I was in searing pain. btw faith is not always the issue when it comes to healing and for anyone to say its because we don't have enough faith is just plain mean because they have no idea what its like to have all the faith in the world but the answer to be no every time. Heck If I could I would heal others even if it meant I myself couldnt be healed, Jesus healed ppl for a whole lot less. in fact some people he healed and they didnt even ask.
