Greetings. I am DAV, US Army, Combat Medic and served in the infantry by choice. I worked with many injuries, rare diseases and some diseases that had not been named. I am married with 3 grown daughters, 30, 27 and 25 who are all RN's in local hospitals here in Asheville, NC. I earned my BS at WVU and MS at TCU (Respiratory Technology).

I am a firm believer in God and have negative vibes for any Muslim philosophy. I have no regard for "forced religious beliefs" and feel that individuals who advocate them have no place in the USA. We have sacrificed too many brave people to maintain freedom of choices and no one has the right to force their beliefs on us.

I anticipate interesting and stimulating chats on CC while fulfilling a personal need to discuss questions of my own.

I actually have a question for you. This question is not in any way an attack on you or any other veteran. I have the highest regards for all vets and have many in my own family.
Did you find it harder to keep your Christian beliefs and virtues while serving in the military? Please understand, I am truly curious as my husband seemed to be negatively influenced while serving. He strayed farther and farther away from church and our family the longer that he was in. He is now in the Army National Guard and he hasn't gone to church with me and our children in many years.
Again, thank you for serving. I pray that I have in no way offended you with my question.
