we danced and sang and attempted to eat the kitchen sink its a dessert that has tons of ice cream a whole can of whip cream cherries pieces of cake and sprinkles. there were 6 of us and still we didnt finish

Hmm... in the 80s it was the guitarist. Every band had an 'amazing' lead guitarist/major ego that girls flocked to. With bands today being more cohesive, on average and less ego there isn't as obvious a distinction. But bass players are still the bottom rung haha.
I dunno, I think anyone who plays in a band is cool. :D Also, I am not drawn to major egos. So, I guess it's good I didn't grow up in the 80s. ;)

today I watched Brave, I really liked it and thought they had their Scottish people just right! Also there is a person in it that you are not supposed to be able to understand because of his thick accent, I found I understood about 95% of what he said!

what happened to the other 5%? I thought that his accent wasn't that thick... maybe it's a blending of Scottish & American Redneck.

Brave is a Pixar movie. I was profoundly disappointed by it. Quality animation, decent characters and great voice acting but the script was a huge mess tonally and story-wise. Meredith's hair was brilliant though and her Clydesdale horse.
