Being disqualified means losing your salvation and not going to heaven. It is not like once you're saved you're always saved, you need to remain faithful till the end in order to stay saved. ( Matthew 24:13, Revelation 2:10).
Yes.

Just because one enters the Olympic race does not guarantee he will finish the race much less win the race. Likewise, just becoming a Christian does not guarantee he will finish the race and win. Faith only/OSAS does not even fit the analogy Paul made of the earthly race or Christian race, for these two man-made concepts tries to get one finishing and winning the race (salvation) just because he enters the race (becomes a Christians).

The Christian race involves running and some things that running involves:
-- a continued walking in the light so the Christian's sins can be continually cleansed away, 1 Jn 1:7
-- carry out the great commission Mt 28:19,20
-- do good works God ordained Christians are to walk in Eph 2:10 and will be judged by those works, Mt 25
-- be a true worshipper, Jn 4:23,24
-- exhort and encourage, love one another, confess one to another, Heb 3:13; 1 Jn 4:20,21; 1 Jn 1:9

One can enter the race by becoming a Christian, but if he does not run that race by doing the things listed above then he will not finish nor win the race but fall short (Heb 4:1) becoming a reprobate being out of the faith and Christ not in him.

Boom!! Absolutely, Paul talked about wanting to know just one set of things, it was and I quote, I want to know Christ AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION.

The resurrection in which God raised Christ in Glory and transformed his body into the Glorious heavenly image of the Shakinah Glory of God.

He said he will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious one, that is the mystery of Christ in you, the HOPE of GLORY. The new covenant came with glory, we have a hope of glory, it all revolves around one central requirement, knowing Christ and the power of His resurrection.

Not to be confused with Christ the resurrection, that takes the body of death and brings it into life Qualifying us FOR the resurrection at the transformation.

You continue to interpret these verses above through the lens of works salvation. Continue to read on in Hebrews 4 to see how these Hebrews came short of entering His rest. 2 - For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest.. Paul said disqualified for the prize, not disqualified for the gift of eternal life. In context, Paul has been discussing preaching the gospel. In verse 18 he says, "What is my reward, then?" In verses 24-27 he illustrates this thought of his reward by the picture of a race run for the prize. We must pay attention to the context—this passage concerns reward, prize not losing salvation. Salvation is a gift that we receive by grace through faith, not a prize that we race for to win. Verse 24 settles the matter for me. 24 - Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. That sounds like running a race in the Olympics. All runners run but only one gets the gold medal. So what happens to the runners that get the silver medal or bronze medal or finish the race with no medal? Are they disqualified from the Olympics or from the prize, receiving the gold medal?
