He indeed has some personality traits we could all do without, but he was also one of the best presidents the US has ever had.

I'll take the best doctor (who's a womanizer with a drunken truck-driver mouth), over the mediocre doctor (who's a perfect gentleman).
I would rather choose a doctor that worked along side this (so called best doctor) who Isn't a womanizer and doesn't have a foul mouth.I would rather vote for Mike Pence.

Oh well. You get the government you deserve. This man does not seem to understand the nature of the internal threat the US faces. Trump does. That so many Christians don't get this is most perplexing and frustrating. But, when fascism advances, they won't look in the mirror, they'll just say "it's prophesied".

The American Left today is fascist, plain and simple. I can back that up all day long. Trump is the ONLY one who seems to get it. Well, there's Ted Cruz, Kari Lake, and a few others, but these are in the minority. We do not have a bonafide opposition party. Trump's one of the few who has the spine to fight this cultural war the way it needs to be fought. If you, the Christian, are more worried about Trump's demeanor than you are about the erosion of the US constitution, then your priorities are despicable.

Historically facism is associated with the ultra right while communism is ultra left. The goal of both groups is to enslave and control their citizens. I would be interested in a more in-depth discussion if possible.

Fascism historically is a movement of the Left. It is called "right-wing" by the Left to demonize their opponents.

Fascism is a modified socialism. Hitler's movement was called "national socialism". Mussolini started his career as a socialist. Did they suddenly swing 180º in their ideology?

The Left says that fascism is capitalism run amok. This is how they demonize free enterprise. Yet, you can bet your last dollar that there was no Italian industry telling Mussolini what to do, and you can bet the same that Mercedes wasn't barking orders to Hitler.

There is NOTHING in the conservative movement that has fascist elements. We believe in freedom of belief, expression, carrying firearms, due process and innocence before guilt is proven. We believe in people's right to dissent from the mainstream narrative. Tell me what part of that is even remotely fascistic.

The Left (and many others) believe the ideological spectrum is a circle, so that fascism and communism meet, but come from opposite sides of that circle. This makes zero sense. The ideological spectrum is a line. The hard-left is authoritarian, and a hard-right position would be approaching anarchy.

Now, there are people with traditional views who want to lord those views over everyone. That is not a true conservatism, however, in neither a Christian nor a political sense. God never forces Himself on anyone, because a nation forced into conversion is not a nation of converts, but a nation of hypocrites.

The Left is the enemy, period -- at least, in the worldly part of this spiritual war we find ourselves in.
