donation monthly pledge/ reminder

I was wondering why you didn't have a monthly pledge option where it automatically bills the paypal account whatever your pledge amount is for a year and after the year you can ask if they want to renew, increase or cancel supporting cc?

Just a thought. I know a lot of magazines and some other websites have that option and I don't think it would be too complicated to setup on paypal.

We actually do have an option to bill it automatically every month through paypal... I personally use this feature because it saves me the hassle of remembering to do it. I don't know about if we have the option to opt-out after a year currently set up though.

really? because when you click on the donate button all you get is an option to donate once... hmmm let me look into it more....

oh i found it. its at the very bottom... under automatic donations.. still wonder if it could be an option that pops up automatically when you click the donate button of have a separate one beside the donate button. one that says "cc supporter" or something for automatic regular donations?

Good idea. It would be great to make the monthly donation button/option either the default or a very prominent one!

I still look forward to the time when Canadian donations are tax deductible as a charitable donation......not currently an option here in Canada as CC is not registered as a charitiable donation in Canada yet.
