EXCEEDING GLORY
‘For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.’ – 2 Corinthians 3 vs 9
Hello Dearly Beloved in the LORD Jesus, this again is another Refreshing piece from the Heart of God, to bring to your Remembrance the awesomeness of the Grace of our Lord. Be Refreshed.
Our opening scripture brings an important picture to mind. It says, if the ministration cf condemnation had glory: In other words, if the era, the dispensation of the Law had glory in it, how much more the ministration of Righteousness, the era, the dispensation of Grace, for it exceeds in glory. That’s beautiful. Let’s see the verse 7 of our opening scripture;
‘But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:’ – {KJV}
The glory of the Law was seen in the life of it’s propounder Moses, and we get to know that when the Prophet Moses received the Laws from God on the Mount, while he came down, there was such light of glory on him, radiating from his face, and the people could not behold him for the glory of that light which was on him. Waow! Now, this was the case of Moses and the Law. But we are gonna see the case of Grace, which is the case of the Lord Jesus;
‘And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.’ – Matthew 17 vs 1 – 2 {KING JAMES VERSION}
Waow! This is beautiful. Here, we also see Glory, this was the Glory of Grace just as we saw the glory of the Law manifested through Moses, this was the Glory of Grace manifested through Jesus Christ the propounder of Grace. But I want to point out the sharp difference between these two Glories;
In 2 Corinthians 3 vs 7 where we Read above, we see the glory of the Law, the people could not look on the face of Moses because of the light. In other words, the glory of the light was repelling not attracting. And that is the nature of the Law, it doesn’t bring men to God, but make it obvious before men that they are not worthy of God. The Law accuses, it repels. But what’s the story of Grace? Let’s see this;
‘And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.’ – Mark 9 vs 15 {KJV}
This is still the same case of Jesus transfiguring on the mountain. Now remember what we looked into before, when Moses came down from the mountain, the people went from him, for they could not behold his face for the glory of that light, it was repelling. But here, when Jesus came from the mountain, all the people ran towards him with great amazement and joy. Hahahaha.That’s it, Grace! The multitude of sinners the Bible declares ran toward HIM and received Him. You see the difference between the two (2) testaments now? They were both glorious in that they all had glory, but the later is more glorious in that it is attracting, and not repelling, and can be looked upon not like the former which was scary and threatening. – Selah
Brothers, Sisters, I also want to show you a mystery about this matter;
‘Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.’ – Matthew 17 vs 4 – 5 {KING JAMES VERSION}
This is very interesting. As Jesus transfigured before these disciples which He brought up with Him unto the mountain, Peter lifted up his voice and said; Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. The moment he said that, God reacted to his words, and the verse 5 above were the words of God. Do you know why God reacted as Peter spoke? God responded because Peter began to speak error, and God rushed out immediately to address it. This therefore was the error of Peter’s word;
He said that three tabernacles should be made, one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah. By that statement, he equalized Jesus with Moses and Elijah, and Moses speaks of the Law, Elijah speaks of the Prophets. Therefore, Peter made equal the Law, the Prophets (which were restorers of the Law) and Grace, hence God reacted to that folly. What was God’s final word on that? It was; Hear ye him. God says to you today, Hear the voice of Grace and not the Law. And the verse 8 says;
‘And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.’ – {KJV}
After God had thus spoken, when they lifted up their eyes, Moses was gone, Elijah was gone, save Jesus only. In other words, the Law was gone, the revivers of the Law gone, but Grace stood. This tells that the Law is past, the revivers of the Law past, but Grace now standeth and forever will be.
Is it not funny how in our day, certain ministers have took upon themselves the ministry of the Prophets of old, to revive the Law for all the people to obey? Lol.
Justified by this Grace, freed from al condemnation and damnation of Hell forever. Forever? Yeaaaaaaa {Hebrews 10 vs 14}. O Glory to God!
