This was the first christian based poem i wrote. I wrote it sitting in the church shortly after I first started to believe. Please enjoy.

Forgiveness Prayer

Is everything always forgiven?
I ask as I sit in church,
fear running through me,
As i wait for a silent answer.

I know I haven't always believed,
I thought as I looked at the floor,
But something has changed,
And I'm ready to believe now.

I want your forgiveness,
for denying your existence,
But how will I know,
when I have gained your forgiveness?

Will I see a white dove?
Or be surrounded by light?

Maybe you have already forgiven me,
But Lord,
How do I forgive myself?
