Just when I think I understand
something else comes along
questions start appearing
in your word I seek and knock
For years theres been this thorn
Same scenario same ending conditions
Things that ive always ran from
reappearing what am I missing?
Something seems different this time
like stay this time dont go
my shoes they're almost on
im afraid to look im afraid to know..
just the other day
I heard something inwardly and new
that the only jesus someone may ever know
may be the jesus who is living in you..
so here I am crying out dear father
what is it you want me to do
to stay or go I really dont know
which way is more pleasing to you?
I think of all you've done
Getting up off of you're throne
you came right down without your crown
as a man.. into the world..so we could know.
you didnt choose a royal hotel
ride in on any glory
you laid in a manger without any anger
in a stable no comfort of your own...
as people we want comfortable conditions
we want the best of the best we can get
but im wondering if what I want to run from
might bring me to know you god even better yet
