You loved me before time began
and already called your friend
you knew ever trial I would go though
and waited till things got too hard
then you stepped in and gave me hope
with the love that only you could bring
you give me hope when there is none
and peace through the raging storms
I will never forget how you showed me
that you knew me before time began
and saw every time I fell down
and you had mercy through it all
and were by my side
even when it didn't seem like you were there
you were deep in the hidden places
watching over me the whole time
until you rescued me and showed me
that you were always there and that you would never leave.
