God's Precious Island

You are my fertile island,
Your trees are green
Your flowers speaking to me
In gentle scents and colors
Whispering in soft voices
The beauty you possess.
And in the swaying of palm trees
The soothing sounds
Of waves cascading against
Your shoreline,
There is an irresitable urge
To abide in Your garden forever.
Your coastline welcomes everyone
Yet in the midst of all its fertility
It keeps me there
A most willing prisoner.

many years and still enjoy doing it...what i write is what is buried in my heart and all i need to
do is find the words
