Going on a pride ride
Pride cloaked in "fight for truth"
Crucify fellow man

My Savior nailed to His cross
So my self will not be lost
Jesus died so I can live

My pride ride “fights for truth”
But what is the sure truth?
For neighbor? For ego?

Crucified my flesh should be
Nailed with Him on Calvary
My pride, my ego, no more

My pride ride “fights for truth”
Neighbor nailed with my “truth”
He’s nailed but I am not.

Something wrong in this picture.
My pride remains the fixture.
Crucify me, but not him.

The real plain truth is...
...It’s about my ego...
..“Truth” a fake holy cloak

Get my neighbor off the cross
Nail my hands and feet with Christ
My loss is now my big gain.

Nice ! This is evocative of Japanese haiku, but the syllable pattern is even more interesting.

The beauty of the poem though, lies in it's message. Thanks for sharing :)

Brilliant poem! You're one of the few hero's for Jesus on this forum! I've been studying poetry for quite some time now, but I haven't quite run across a website like this... www.12starpoetry.webs.com. It is very interesting... new world order?
