It is commendable that people from Northern countries have travelled overseas to spread the Gospel.
Sometimes what they have done is brought their culture with them and maybe unwittingly tried to insist that those who believe the Gospel message should adopt their culture also.
I feel an affinity to much of Latin American culture, for example. In some countries, there are practices which I would not feel comfortable with; for example, the Mexican Day of the Dead, or the brewing of chewed corn seed into a strong drink.
I am sure that a great country such as India can also sometimes pose issues of culture for Christians there to grapple with.
Undoubtedly Indian Christians are right to want to appreciate and preserve much of what is positive from their culture, itself diverse in such a large country.
