My name is Brad, I'm 22 and live in Ohio. I wasn't exactly raised in a church (I can remember going just twice as a kid) and it can be an intimidating atmosphere to some (yes, I am acutally being serious). However, I am struggling to find my way close to God and I recognize fellowship with other believers to be an essential part in doing this. So while I work up the courage to go to a church and remain there, I thought I would warm up here!

Hi ASK. Welcome to CC! It's wonderful that you are on a journey to find your way to God. Just remember that He is desperately waiting with arms wide open & wants nothing more than to have a relationship with you. You have made a great decision - having fellowship with others who love God will encourage & inspire you. Take time to read the bible too - get an easy version to read (e.g. New Living Translation or Message bible) & ask God to show you new things while you're reading - you'll be amazed at how much is written just for you & how clearly God can speak to you. I hope you find a church that you feel comfortable going to - pray about that too & ask God to lead you.
