  1. Disregard things which generate questions rather than promote encouragement and understanding.
  2. Remind people of this, and rationalize and reason with them to stop arguing. Arguing does no good and ruins people minds -- avoid arguments.
  3. Avoid gossip and innuendo. People who do that can become cruel and hurtful, and their thinking will contaminate the minds of others.
  4. Pay no attention to improbable stories of supernatural beings or events, and the subjective teachings of men.
(Cp. 1 Tim. 1:4; 2. Tim. 2:14, 16-17; Titus 1:14; 3:9)

I agree with #1, #3, #4.
Not sure about #2, can you explain the first sentence of #2?
Interesting topic.

Did Jesus "disregard things" that generated questions?

Is there a difference between "reasoning" and "arguing?" If so, then "reasoning" is ok?

Agree with avoiding "gossip" for that is sinful indeed.

With regards to No. 4, you do know that people come here all the time telling us that our Faith, our God, our Saviour are "improbable stories.................?"

anyway..........

Much of what you posted is counter to what Jesus did.

Jesus routinely answered a question with another question...in fact, this was the norm for the day, and generated discussion.

Jesus also routinely and fiercely argued, debated and name-called those opposed to His message.

So...I know your intentions are good - but our teacher still knows best and set the example for us...
