luke-warm cowards won't come; hear not Babylon's call!
Serving Jesus our chief, we won't seek our relief.
still advance to the goal, Jesus says to each soul!

Raise his banner untiringly as we progress.
Persevere, my dear friend, faithful right to the end,
Heaven's glorious rest waits for his faithful blessed.
