Hello, you're welcome here. I guess with feeling more close, definitely prayer is good- going to God. And then trusting him, that even if you don't feel anything different that He has not abandoned you. I mean I have trouble with that a lot, when I don't feel close, but then I realize I'm focusing so much on what I feel like I lose track of the fact that God is near us, sometimes whether we feel a certain way or not. I hope you like it here 
Hi Rebecca14 and welcome to Christian Chat. I am sure you will gain a lot of insight here. To feel close to Jesus I pray to him every day and every time I need Him. After all, he is my brother. I read God's Word, the Bible, every day. This is my guidebook to life. After all, God is my father. Abide with Him and He will abide in you. God Bless You always.
