Whom are you referring to and explain why?
I't was meant for a comment I received from my post, not for you. This wasn't directed at you.I't was for a person who took what I said and turned it into, something I felt incorrect. No worries I am over it,God knows what I meant.

That's not what Jesus said to do. You have money, and God gave it to you to share. God said sell all that you have and give it to the poor. There are many examples including the parable I Just shared about sharing our own personal money with the needy.

I agree, Christians in groups should be helping their neighbors in big huge group efforts, but the needy also need us individually. Jesus said bring them into your own personal home. Church gatherings should also be in our homes without denominational labels to separate us, meaning, the needy should be invited too.

Not every place has a big enough homeless shelter if a shelter at all, but plenty of homeless. We're going to run across homeless/needy people on our own time who are going to need our help right then, no waiting. Never pass up an opportunity to help somebody.
I can't speak for them, but I think the point, I READ the point, to be that giving money alone isn't the right way to do it.

many throw money at it and ignore the rest of the hands on part.

You throw money at a cause, you help the people who love those being helped to love them. You aren't acting in the love part yourself.
