That He May Lift You Up In His Time,

So we should never exalt ourselves and present ourselves
as more than we actually are. We should never boast because
first of all, we have done nothing if not for God. That is not
to say we cannot have confidence in our Lord. To continue
to hear His teaching and example of following. There is a
big difference between confidence and boasting because to
most ears they can separate the two. Besides in our daily
lives, the love of God seems to be constantly poured into us
and has no need for human approval. We can't change a
thing about ourselves when we have faith in God and truly
follow Him in all things. If someone does try to change us,
we need to just turn the other way. This is not to say that
we should not listen to wisdom and act accordingly but rather
not to respond to personal assault.
