Don't you get tired of meeting people who seem to say this to you in their actions and treatment of you?

What is the Christian response to such an action?

Do you ignore it?

Do you rebuke them?

Do you pray for them?

what does God tell us to do?

the reasons they think they are "better keepers of the law" "wiser" "more righteous" "more deserving", etc can be varied and different. they may be older, more educated, wealthier, etc.

however there is one thing that they will never be BETTER or MORE of, and that is if you are a child of God, then they can NOT be more holy, more loved or more righteous

because God loves YOU and has washed you clean of YOUR SINS with the blood of the Lamb and clothed you in His righteousness and that is the breastplate that guards your heart from the lies of Satan and his children.

God bless and keep you all.

as for how you should respond to those who think they are better than you, I would really like to see some scriptures that would help me understand.

a few come to mind but I wonder if they would be appropriate.

Someone pmed me these scriptures:

[h=3]James 2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Beware of Personal Favoritism[/h]2 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, [SUP]3 [/SUP]and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,” [SUP]4 [/SUP]have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? [SUP]6 [/SUP]But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? [SUP]7 [/SUP]Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?
[SUP]8 [/SUP]If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”[SUP][a][/SUP] you do well; [SUP]9 [/SUP]but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,”[SUP][b][/SUP] also said, “Do not murder.”[SUP][c][/SUP] Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. [SUP]12 [/SUP]So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

thanks.

I respond with a smile. They hate that. :)

As for a bible verse?
Romans 12:20: "On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

Sorry I don't really approve of passive aggressive actions, but it's the first verse that came to mind LoL

Hmmm sometimes people send of unintentional non-verbals, and verbals. We sometimes make the mistake of hearing people saying things they never say. So before you think someone is being a snob or some variant of being a snob, make sure you're not just reading into things that aren't there.
