I get so sad and then angry at all the evil i see in the world today. I get sadened by the violence the lack of compassion the waistfullness of money, temptation, lust.
I often look at peoples faces when im out and about and no one is smileing the closer we get to xmas the more people seem to get stressed and aggressive.
I worry for how the world is going i worry for the youth growing up i feel this is the devils work and it just makes me cross is there any way we can all fight this evil around us and restore humanity again.
I can not believe the change in the world since i was a child yes there has always been evil but people were still decent and no one chased after material things like they do today.

Find your peace in Jesus.
In the world we will have trials, but be of good cheer(joyful), for I(Jesus) have overcome the world." - John 16:33
As you see the rampant materialism become all the more a beckon of light.
God told us these things would happen as the age draws to a close.
Get your eyes off of the world and circumstances and get them on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. - Hebrews 2:12
In Him, and Him only, can your mind(soul) find rest.

Yes, this is why in the book of Revelation God's patience finally wears thin and His wraith is poured out upon the earth. This passage from Timothy describes the last days and I believe it is a pretty accurate description of the way the world is going right now..

2 Timothy 3:1-9

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.

I agree rickshfer. How can we blame how the world behaves and then follow in thier footsteps by using sadness, anger, depression and other negative emotions to guide us. We are told to let Jesus' light within us to be a light to shine so bright that that others who are in the darkness can see that light, and they might want to come into it too. But if we focus too much on the darkness in this world and let that turn us away from where our attention should be, how can that do anyone any good?
Joy, love, peace and encouragment can be contageous IF you let God lead you. Just like hate, contempt, pain, anger, sadness and depression can be contageous too. The point is we have to CHOOSE! The word says, i put before you life or death, Choose life so that you and your decendants may live...

I've made my choice, how aboout you!

You'd be surprised how God will hear your prayers concerning your children.
Remember Noah? How he was the only righteous man?
Yet God let him take his sons and their wives with him.
Remember Lot? How God not only saved him, but also his daughters from the fire and brimstone
that rained down on the five cities of the fruitful plain that Sodom and Gomorrah were in?
Notice how ease and comfort in material things produces self love?
So it is today. With there being so much food, and creature comforts.
God has your children in His sight and under His hand.
Fret not that He will save them, just keep praying and believing;.......because the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. - James 5:16

What you are witnessing today is the failure of mankind to repent and seek the mercy of God!

In flaming fire!
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…………
The main problem I am seeing in modern Christianity today is a poor understanding of who God is, and what He is asking mankind to do to be reconciled back to Him. Many, who profess to be saved, do not know God, and those who profess to be atheist, just deny reality. Both positions are a very dangerous place to be in, as stated in 2 Tim 1-8.
I was taught for most of my lukewarm Christian life, that God is more concerned with your ability to just believe He exists, and that He sent His son Jesus to be a substitutional sacrifice and overcomer for all those who were born depraved and unable to truly repent, and seek His mercy, then follow Him in an obedient faith, brought forth by a love, fear, and respect of a God who commands and demands ALL mankind to depart from iniquity and repent(not confess and believe) But stop sinning, for example, stop fornication, stop porn watching, stop adultery, stop drunkenness, lying, cheating, stealing, and also put away the love of the world, and all its vain attractions!
Now for those who follow another gospel that promises them liberty, while actually telling them they are eternally saved and going to heaven because they said the sinners prayer (sorrow of the world) and then trust all is done, all sin is pre forgiven, and repentance is more of an apology or confession you are a sinner and cannot stop your vile sins this side if heaven, woe to you!
To know and obey God should be the number one concern of the church today, not “trust” in something that never happened, i.e., penal substitution, OSAS, or any false gospel that would declare you righteous while you are still defiled or unrighteous, telling you are depraved and a sinning saint till the day you die!
Those who know God and obey as commanded, will clearly see the huge difference between the saved in sin cloaked message being sold today, and the free, simple message Jesus and the profits brought to the lost sinning masses thousands of years ago.
Which was, man has free will and ability to choose to obey or not, repentance towards God and faith towards Jesus Christ was preached far and wide as the only means to be reconciled to God and enter the kingdom.
This repentance and faith meant the vile rebellion stopped before mercy would even be considered, please read Jonah Ch 3, and the Prodigal son, who stopped his rebellion BEFORE his father would forgive him and accept back.
I wrote this short message in an attempt to show the reader and seeker of truth the huge difference between what is taught as truth today, which is another gospel and another Christ, and the true gospel according to obedience, repentance, godliness, and purity that can only come from a crucified soul, broken through a crisis of conviction, followed by real repentance and godly sorrow, assuming nothing from God, except hoping He relents and grants you mercy and pardon.
This is not an attempt to explain in detail the problems with the church today, along with all the leaven added into the pure word for the last 500 years or so. This has been covered before in great detail, for those who are willing to dig deep, and count the cost, come out of the church system and world, and seek the pearl of great price, that is free and available and calling all those in bondage to freedom and purity that can only come when you seek to know God and obey His commands!
Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Don't be sad or angry, seek the truth, and see why the world and church is in the sorry condition it is in today!

God provides a way out through repentance and faith proven by deeds!

Mans way is sin, rebellion, and disrespect for God and His commands!

Man wants to be forgiven and live in sin at the same time as most churches teach, but God says, the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Man says God is blessing him, and loves Him while he remains dead and complacent to His word and truth, not knowing that His kindness and longsufffering is waiting for them to repent and stop sinning then seek His mercy! His goodness and kindness is not condoning thier false conversion and worldly ways!

Dig deep, seek the truth before its too late, preach repentance to the lost and dying church and world and see for yourself why the world is so messed up, backwards and evil!

Dotann i dont understand are you saying i should not have emotions like anger and sadness? if so how i am human...
I dont claim to be anything im not i sin i try not to and i repent when i do. It is impossible to live in the world and not be apart of it its like being brought up in london and not having a cockney accent.
A little about me may help you understand i come from a family of non believers yet i have always believed have i read the bible no i am very dyslexic and find the words hard to read and understand. Have i got any christian friends no do i go to church no ive tryed 4 now and dont feel right in any of them.
Do you think all that makes me less able to be close to God not at all i may not understand alot about what you talk but my heart is as good as any other God believing person and although against everyone i know i still persue my belief in our lord and i always will one thing i do know is tho shall not judge.

Sadness and anger are not bad to feel. They are emotions which drive us to seek change if we handle them correctly. However, they will drown us if we allow them. Imagine the feelings Jesus had. In Gethsemane he was so anguished that he actually sweat blood. No one should ever tell you not to feel you emotions. They should only direct you in how to handle them if need be. Jesus was sad and angry. They are natural and, dare I say, good. Use them as impetice to intercede. Bring those people and situations who make you sad and angry to the cross. Offer them to Jesus and leave them there. Sit at the cross and intercede for those situations. Then when the time comes, walk away and do the next thing God calls you to do.

JUST KEEP YOUR FAITH UP IN THE WORLD. I AM VERY HAPPY YOU LOOK AT THE WORLD THIS WAY BECAUSE I KNOW YOUR ONE OF THE FEW. WHAT YOUR SAYING IS VERY TRUE, JUST KEEP AWAY FROM THOSE WHO WILL BRING YOU MORE SADNESS AND ANGER.

It does seem that the spiritual 'quality' (and the moral values) of all societies is decaying at a greater rate than ever before. It's interesting to note that in the Old Testament it took centuries for God to build up His people and only one generation for it to fall into apostasy ( Manasseh's reign).

It is depressing to think about but it helps to know that God's plan is at work....it's just hard for us to understand it. 'Grow where you're planted' helps me to keep focused on my own little part of it.

And it is true that prayers for our children make a BIG DIFFERENCE in their lives. So even if they don't 'listen' to you, you can still impact their lives. We just have to turn them over to God when they are adults. Being a parent is never 'done'....our prayer life can become very strong as we pray for our children and future grandchildren.
