atrn221, Watch these videos when you have time. They are about a guy who was an athiest and drug addict for 22 years before Jesus changed his life. He's a huge inspiration to me, and I hope he can help you as well. If you have any questions or need to talk or anything feel free to send me a message.

Miracle is His Normal Life / It's Supernatural! - Todd White / Sid Roth (Miracle Healing Testimony) - YouTube

The Witches- Todd White - YouTube

God heals satanists? - YouTube

btw, I am not saying you are a witch or a satanist by showing you those videos. I chose them because I want you to know that God loves everyone. I know you may have doubt about that because you are an athiest and homosexual, but I want you to know that God loves you just as much as He loved his son, Jesus.

Hi
You have it backwards. God does not want us to clean up our lives, get rid of our sins so that we can come to Him. He wants us to come to Him in our sins. So that way He can cleanse us, heal our hurts, and change our hurts. God does not turn you away because of your sin, because of your sin He beckons to you to come to Him. Don't let your sins stop you from coming to God. Quite the opposite, let your sins compel you to God even more. God is waiting for you, all you need to do is call on Him, pray to Him, acknowledge that you are a sinner, and ask forgiveness. He gives it freely. Then confess to Him your need to be saved, and that you acknowledge that He is Lord of all and that you need Jesus in your heart and your life.
Pray that, its all it takes to start a walk with God. From there, is when we start letting God work our the sins in our lives, with His help, not doing it alone, like you're doing now.

After that you'll want to be daily in your bible, if possible, and praying regularly. And since you can't go to church then as Spenny posted, there are a lot of churches and ministries online. Sadly there are a lot of people who teach bad things, so you have to be careful. I could help you find some good sources if you like.

If you have any more questions post them or feel free to message me.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. God loves you!!! He has a plan and purpose for you, and if you let him, He will help you. I will be praying for you and if you want to talk, feel free to send me a message anytime.

Atrn221, I was born and raised in a Christian household (which I still am in). My parents were missionaries with an organization called SAM. They went to Colombia and Peru. I was in Colombia with them for about 1o or 15 years and I was in Peru for 2 and a half years, During that time, I was just living a lifestyle going to church, reading the Bible in Sunday School, and going to some else's devotions\ time. It is hard to describe, but there came a time when a switch just went on, that I needed to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I did it through a prayer to Jesus Christ (it is not magic, it is like a contract only you have signed your life over to God). Changes did take place but again that is still not the end of my story. I got back to the United States and my parents ended their missionary work for SAM. After a few years, I started to ask questions like why did Jesus die on the cross and there might have been many others I asked. I asked the first question and pretty much understood my mom's answer intellectually but it was like I did not get it. Then a Sunday after that, my pastor was doing a sermon on accepting Jesus Christ into your life. His words that day were guided through the Holy Spirit and touched and I finally understood both intellectually and in my heart why Jesus died on the cross for my sins. After that experience, the Holy Spirit had touched and I was crying with happiness, it was of the spirit because I usually never do that. Some people wondered if I was okay, but I knew I was. After that, I had my first communion. Shortly after a few years past and I got baptized into the name of Jesus as a symbol of my Christian faith and show publicly to the world that I am of God now not of the world. But my story does not end there. Shortly after that when I got into high school and even a lot of college and even at times still now, I got addicted to pornography it really messed me up back. It became crazy and I moved through different phases. My mom caught me many times and some of my privileges on the computer were revoked for a time then they were restored. But then one time, I felt an emptiness in my heart and cried to Jesus, to rescue me from this sin. I recommitted my life to Christ and I am not looking back. True I still have this addiction and especially at night it keeps on attacking me and even if I fall some times, God has given me the strength to keep on getting up just like that song by TobyMac.

Atrn, just come as you are to the throne of grace and believe in the name of Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, then he can forgive your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. By the way, I recommend to you a book written by a former atheist called The Case for Christ, there you will find evidence for Christianity in archaeology, psychology, etc. Also about homosexuality, I believe that no one is born ''gay" or "straight", but that we are born sinners and that depending on the environment we get raised in, the people we hang out with, the media that we listen to, and feelings that we decide to follow impulsively, can have negative impacts in our life and produce scars that take time and healing to reduce in size and ultimately remove. While feelings are pretty accurate many times, they don't imply that we are born with a certain sexual orientation, preference, or whatever one calls it. So please listen to the words that I have written and read the verses that I have referenced below. They can change your life.

John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world (Atrn221) that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ that whoever (if Atrn221) believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world (Atrn221), but to save the world (Atrn221) through him.
Romans 10:9
"That, If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (rescued)."

Now is the time of grace and now is the hour of salvation. It is only opened for a limited time. Take advantage of it and believe and you will have eternal life. True, your life might become messier when you receive him, but then you can ask for guidance from Christians on this site and also pray to God that he would help you in your time of need. Put your faith (trust) in Jesus, today and you will not regret it. Right now you are a slave to sin. Slave meaning that whatever controls you, is who you are slave to. But if you believe in Jesus, the chains of sin and bondage that sin has on your life, will be broken and you will be free and your master will be Jesus and that is true to freedom. Nowadays many people believe that slavery is wrong yet many don't realize that people in the world who do not know Jesus, are enslaved to sin, the flesh, and Satan. Jesus has set before you life and death, please choose life. Amen.

The Devil has tricked you many times, but no stain is too big, that God can't wipe away. One) Think and reflect on your life... How are you able to have a good health? Who created you? You say your parents, but who made your parents, you say your grandparents, who made them? Complex, but true. Get on your knees, and talk, like never before, speak of things that you'd never said to anyone. Tell God, cause He exists, can't stand false theories and ridiculous things of the such. But the Father is real. Pray, God loves you, If He didn't love you, Why'd He give His only Son to sacrfice His own life of comfort and peace, to save you, that you may not burn in hell. Think about it. Someone loved you enough to die for you... Huh. Pray, and I'll keep you in my prayers. May God open your eyes before the day of the Judgement, before it's too late...

He loves you, follow Him and you won't regret.:) He's real, trust me, don't gotta see Him to belive Him. Look: You work hard in school, and in a distance you can see that you'll achieve highly and become someone great, same thing with God. You see the things going on in this world... Hurricanes, earthquakes, deaths, rebellions, etc. Doesn't it make sense to know that God's the reason. There is no coincidence with these things. Why not accept Him now that you have breath? Why not seek Him while He can be found? He loves you... Don't forget that. You are too special to let the Devil use you... Don't let it be you.

Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

2 Samuel 22:36 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great

Romans 11:11 ...Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come...

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

and finally...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Many others have said what has needed to be said, therefore it would be pointless for me to try and add to what has already been said. Wanting to come to God and Salvation is the first step, it now lies before you, ready for you to embrace and enjoy.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Come to the Father, his arms are open wide, ready to accept you,
wash you from your sins. You cannot rid yourself of sin, only God can.

Mark 2:7 ... Who can forgive sins but God only?

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme.

Matthew 5:3-12

Feel free to message me at any time if you need someone to talk to about anything at all. I'm no bible scholar, but I'll do my best to answer questions you may have.

There are online churches, you do not have to travel to a building to worship.

The definition of a Christian is:

"A person who has received Christian baptism or is a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings."

If you could take just a brief moment in prayer and profess your belief in Jesus Christ and his teachings, you are a Christian. It would be nice if you could update your profile to a Christian.

Do not fret about your sexual orientation for now. Accept God's unconditional love, and just take it one step at a time.

This is a teen forum, so i was reluctant to post, and I very rarely do this, but I see several other older adults have offered help and support. I've never had kids, and wasn't close to my nieces growing up, but, am closer now. Your cry for help hit me the other day when i saw it on the main page. So, I'll put on my "parent hat," because I seldom ever have an opportunity.

Don't panic about your issues-- you're only 15. Just relax and enjoy life, and save the stress for later. Just try not to make any decisions about yourself during the next 3 years. It's a difficult time for sorting out identity. You are loved, accepted and forgiven by God the way you are. You are already doing all that God expects of you-- You are acknowledging something you feel is unhealthy and admitting that you are having difficulty controlling it, and asking for help. This is evidence of God's Spirit speaking within you as a child of God, and that you are called to be a child of God. It may be difficult to understand at your age, but there is a difference between "conviction," and "condemnation," or "guilt." Conviction comes from the Holy Spirit and motivates us to change. This is clearly what is happening here. Rome wasn't built in a day! Jesus said we are called to be "living stones," of God's temple. You don't have to go to church to be in church. Just keep seeking God, day by day, not trying to earn God's acceptance. Life is like a marathon sometimes, not a sprint! Just steadily try to make decisions that move towards a healthy relationship with God and others.
God is about love, and mercy; Jesus is your friend, not your judge--
Be kind to yourself and love and forgive yourself too; That age is such a critical time--and stressful; don't add to the stress by judging yourself.

One example is if you pick a roommate someday, pick someone that is a strong Christian, and is not struggling with the same issues-- and each day, you can decide who you want to spend time with.

Maybe over time, check out the book, "The Bondage Breaker," by Dr. Neil Anderson. He talks about overcoming difficult challenges in life. Just focus on loving and obeying your parents, and one day, your honesty and Christian love will inspire them--
I'm sorry for your suffering. I clearly remember being your age, and it was one of the most difficult times in my life-- but, your decisions are important-- so don't rush into stuff...

This is not an adult forum, so i can't reply--
People are praying for you here--

Oh, I forgot-- I'm positive that the "Freedom in Christ Ministry" has a version of "The Bondage Breaker," for teens--
I think it's www (dot) ficm (dot) com or org
take care sweetie--
Honor your parents, but you are also called to be God's adopted child-- parents often make mistakes, but He doesn't...

OMG I literally teared up when I read this. It's like my life through someone else's eyes. I was also born and raised in church. I come from pastoral family, I have worship ministry calling and I am overcoming pornography addiction. It is not an easy thing to deal with and I don't wish this upon anyone. When I realized I was addicted I started to care less about church and felt an immense emptiness in my heart. I am working my way back to how I was and to what I know is right. I know that with God as the center of my life again I will be able to overcome and move on from this life lessons. God is faithful

Hi Mermaid
ladybug is right, but since this is your first day on the site i'll let you know how to do this. Every post has a date in the top left. Check those dates first, before replying, to make sure the post you're responding to isn't too old. Also, just under the users name it will say if they are banned or not. Lastly, if a user says 'guest' and has no flag or information this means they are not a member any longer. You can also check a users profile (click their name, then 'view profile') to see when they last signed on to see if they are active on the site at all.
