I was coming home from work, and thought of a simple song.

''Lord, teach me to keep your statutes, teach me to keep your commands.
I am a stranger in a foreign land...''

I realized how much I need the Lord to TEACH me his statutes and commands. The way I was used to living and thinking, as it had been revealed, was nothing like Jesus at all. In fact, when I was ready, the Lord let me know that I acted just like Satan. I obeyed Satan, and I looked just like him.

I need the Lord to teach me his commands. Many times I ask him to show me my error, and the evil in me, and to take it out. But I need him to TEACH me to keep his commands, because of that old nature trying to draw me back into the deception I came out of. In two ways, I am a stranger in a foreign land. In this world I am a stranger, because I am no longer of it, I am leaving it. And yet, in the world to come, as I live as a future resident of that world, I am also a stranger.

So I am in-between. I am walking that road. LORD, KEEP ME IN YOUR WAY!! KEEP ME IN YOUR LIGHT!!! KEEP ME ON THE NARROW PATH!!

And I hope, as I hope we all hope, that we will not be strangers forever.

May Jesus bless you.

And this we pray;

Psalm 51:10-12

Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

In Jesus Name Amen

WOW!!! AMEN!!!!!!

This sounds very much like my prayer last night!! I know that is David. I see the heart after God in him, always!! Psalms should not be something we memorize, it should be a testimony of our walk of faith in Jesus Christ. I can always relate to Psalms. WOW!! Thank you!!

May Jesus bless you.

p.s. These psalms are a part of us!
