I would agree that It doesn't seem fair to the people If their vote Is meaningless when the person running for U.S President doesn't get enough delegates to be nominated on the first ballot

And then lose all their delegates on the second ballot, but In this case, talking about the republican convention,I'm happy that those rules are there.
But, but, you do realize that Trump may have gotten most of the votes thus far, he has not received a MAJORITY of the total vote count. To date, he is averaging between 30 to 40% of the vote. That means the MAJORITY of voters have voted AGAINST Trump.

(just saying)

Such is the way a Democratic REPUBLIC works. Too many Americans think we are a Democracy. We are not.

They would have to rewrite the Rules........'cause there are STILL Delegates from various States who actually pick the Nominee......... :)

(just saying)
I was listening to a radio program and I heard them saying that Kasich would not qualify to even have a voice at a contested convention unless the rules were changed.
If that Is true, then I just don't know about Kasich,he seems a bit eccentric to me.

the really funny thing is............Trump and so many others are crying about the RNC changing the Rules to defeat Trump, and NO ONE SEEMS TO REALIZE that the people who will be in charge of writing the Rules prior to the Convention WILL BE the Delegates from the Nominees....

Trump and Cruz have the majority of Delegates............so, WHY EXACTLY would supporters of either Trump or Cruz CHANGE THE RULES in a way that would HARM THEIR CANDIDATE?

People are so caught up in the "sky is falling" syndrome these days......it is just TOO, TOO FUNNY.

I thought the delegates that they have at this time were bound because they won but they would be unbound If Trump doesn't reach 1237 on the first ballot.

I was thinking those delegates didn't really want Trump, but they were bound because Trump won.

It varies by State. Some are bound for a specific number of "rounds," and some are not bound at all. Pennsylvania has 51 unbound Delegates who can vote for anyone they want.............and other States have a certain number of unbound Delegates as well......they are similar to the "Super Delegates" talked about on the Democrat side.

I didn't chase you off.
I consider you my Husband, not a Republican of which you are.....

If more of them were like you I might even vote for them again. But Trump is nothing like you and Carson I might have considered except he turned and is endorsing Trump? I don't get that one at all....

I have come to the conclusion only Jesus can straighten out the messes we have made at this point....Even so come Lord Jesus.

Isn't California a Democratic State?

Ted Cruz Is a true conservative and Donald Trump would be less conservative.Seems like the Republicans would be more for Ted Cruz ,but Donald Is ahead In the polls In California and BTW,he Is leading In Indiana also.

Cali is 4-sure Democrat as a whole......some Repubs scattered around, as well as Independents. It favors Trumps liberal leanings 4-sure.

The Republican Party is going through a serious identity crisis.........by 2020, it will no longer be the Party of the Conservative Movement....it will more resemble the Party of the Blue Dog Democrats.

I am registered independent.

When I turned 18 my dad marched me down to the elections office to register, and I registered Republican. My mom was a democrat, my dad was a republican. And I tended to follow my dads politics much more than my moms.

During the McCain campaign cycle I lost all heart with the Republican party and switched to Independent. I find little difference between the parties when it comes to actions.

the picture is now clear enough for me to vote in this poll...today i officially renounced my republican party membership after many years...as soon as my new registration form goes through i will be a registered independent...

i have no sympathies for a party that chooses a maniac with no fear of God to control a nuclear arsenal powerful enough to blow up the world...

I wonder why Donald chose to be a republican?
Well, you see, many moons ago, while at his daughter's Birthday Party, he and Hillary and Bill got together and were talking about her upcoming Candidacy for President. They were really worried that all of her "ill" doings would cause so much damage that a true Republican Conservative would destroy her in the General Election.

Good ole Donnie gave it some thought, 'n' said:

"Hmm, tell ya what...........I"LL declare that I am a Republican, and I will run for the Republican Nomination, doing as much damage to those gun toting, religion clinging idiots as I can, and, SHOOT, I'll probably WIN the Nomination!

Then, I'll kinda mess up just enough for you to beat me in the General Election........!!!

Just remember, once you are in Madam President, to steer all them money making Government Contracts my way.

Oh, and watch out for that Sanders guy............he could give you fits with the socialist liberals in our beloved Democrat Party.

(pretty sure this is how it went down.........)
