ISIS group claims suicide attack in Afghanistan that kills at least 35

KABUL, Afghanistan – A motorcycle-riding suicide bomber attacked a bank branch Saturday in eastern Afghanistan, killing at least 35 people in a deadly attack the country's president said was claimed by the Islamic State group.

The attack marks a major escalation in the country's fight against an affiliate of the extremist group that now holds a third of Iraq and Syria in its self-declared caliphate. It also comes as Afghan security forces fight against the Taliban after U.S. and NATO forces ended their combat mission in the country at the start of the year, yet another challenge for the war-ravaged nation.
It also represents an increasing presence of ISIS throughout the warring Muslim world, and the fact the Taliban condemns the bombing is perhaps an early indicator that even the other Islamic terrorist organizations fear the reckless and blood-thirsty ISIS group.

The West better wake up. This is not "your father's al-Qaeda." These brutes mean to have world domination, and if someone doesn't step up to stop them, they just might be at least partially successful.

The bible speaks of world domination or the NWO, if you wish. It also tells us exactly who we're fighting against: not flesh and blood men, but against principalities and high powers. To me, that translates to the powers that be in the government. JMO

And they are just that much closer to having nuclear weapons themselves. Pakistan or bust!

My bet for regional power lies with the Iranians at the moment. If the West had any modicum of intelligence, we would up support for Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Also demand the restoration of monarchies in that area of the world. That's where I part with Bibi.

ISIS isn't interested in world domination, it's interested in money. Notice how they (and other terrorist groups like them) try to control regions with natural resources. The acts of terrorism are a brutal way of intimidating their enemies, they don't have a direct strategic value. The leadership is using western jidahists to do the dirty work for them, and they're executed just as easily when they don't obey. The emirs (or whatever they're called) just want to get rich, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're backed by Saudi Arabia (faithful US ally).

Winston Churchills words about the failure to handle the nazis, when it would have been easy come back to haunt us.
His speech " air parity lost"

" When the situation was manageable it was neglected, and now that it is thoroughly out of hand we apply too late the remedies which then might have effected a cure.

There is nothing new in the story. It is as old as the Sibylline Books. It falls into that long, dismal catalogue of the fruitlessness of experience and the confirmed unteachability of mankind. Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong -these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history."

History is repeating itself in a worse way than could have been imagined back then even.

And since ISIS has threatened the US that it is coming, world domination is indeed the long term objective.

He had probably forgotten all about Gallipoli.

That wasn't the first time and it certainly wouldn't be the last that use of excessive force in the east led to nothing. The (unjust) second Gulfwar, the massive offensive in Iraq and the overthrowing of Suddam Hussayn started this whole mess.
