Many are the times we get consumed by our own pride and doctrines, we forget about how God saved us by His awesome grace and love. Jesus wants us to be with Him always, the Bible says Pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5: 17) and prayer is communication between us and God. He not only wants us to talk to Him, but for us to listen too.
Sometimes we tend fall, and most of us now see that as very normal to the point some say it is impossible to stay for long without sinning, truth is, God wants us to be perfect (Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.- Mt. 5: 48), but we try so much to be perfect we lose even the little we gained. We can never be perfect alone, and that is why Jesus died on the cross, so that we can be worthy to stand before God. All you have to do is humbly ask Him to forgive you of all sin and to change you in accordance with His grace. Do not try to act in certain way or do certain stuff, just let go of who you are and allow His grace to change you. In your weakness, He will be strong, in fear He will be your peace, and In darkness, He will be the brighest light!

it's important to be led by God and to be listening for directions from Him....
