John 9:6-7

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

John 9:6-7

New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. [SUP]7 [/SUP]“Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 Jesus healed this man by rubbing his eyes with mud. Jesus healsus with His blood. We are no longer blind when we see Jesus for who He is.

7 The man had to go to a pool to wash. We are washed in Hisblood and follow in obedience by being baptized. Jesus wants us to be obedient. When we truly follow after Jesus we will be obedient.

I think it's great picture of obedience for the blind man to walk around with mud on His eyes, believing in the One who had sent Him. I also love the fact that the guy doesn't even know who Jesus is, he never saw Him! He declares faith in Jesus against the synagogue rulers who excommunicated him and over and above his parents before he ever even meets Jesus. When Jesus finally reveals himself, then this man's faith grew even more. Jesus is such a great teacher of faith.
