Letting go and letting God deal with it ,a.k.a. "when you've given it your best shot"
Have you ever tried to change a negative circumstance and you've tried all you can and nothing worked, or tried to help someone who refuses to be helped? Those are the times when we need to let go and let God deal with the problem. God doesn't want us to go around miserable, angry and frustrated. He wants us to know when its time to stop trying and surrender our problem to him. For some of us that time may come sooner than for others depending on our own individual tolerance level, but for every one of us there is a point at which the problem will start affecting other areas of our lives if we don't learn to let go of it.
Our spirit needs to surrender our problem to God so that our hearts do not grow hard because of them. Have you known anyone who is always angry and bitter and not much fun to be around? That is what happens when we go beyond our point of tolerance. As it says in scripture, it is very important that we guard our hearts because it is the wellspring of life for every one of us. To have a hard heart is to have a heart that is spiritually dead. That's not what God wants. He wants us to have joy and love in our hearts and those two things cannot exist when there is anger, hate, resentment or jealousy ruling over us.. so when you feel you've reached your wits end on a problem, remember to "let go and let GOD."
God bless.
Proverbs 4:23 (God's Word Translation)
"Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it."
Proverbs 37:8
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil.
