I originally posted this in the Bible Study, but not sure that anyone really got to see this, because of several posts that were responded to within 15 minutes of my posting.

Anyway, what are your thoughts about this?

----------------------------
Most of us have probably heard the expression that we are to love the sinner but hate the sin. Yet I wonder, if our actions really reflect that we love the sin, at least the sensation that sin causes, yet we hate the sinner because, well they are the horrible evil creatures who dare sin, and yet we don't even look at ourselves to see if we our sinning by our very attitude.

Some do...some don't. Some love the sin, but hate...well...we're all sinners. Some love people, and hate sin. Some love people and sin! ...in fact, there are so many different types that, well, you never really know.

You just have to get to know people to find out who they are. I would hope, though, that we would not accept or tolerate sin; however, I will happily be the first to say that I am definitely a sinner. I am trying not to be, and I am trying to love God and others the way God does me.

Maybe we can help others come around. Maybe only the Holy Spirit can do that. Either way, I think those of us who are trying, regardless of stances/ext, to earnestly love God and others before dealing out swiftly all the 'rights and wrongs' of 'how, when, why, ext'...well, we're making some progress.

Nope, I don't, read the rest, and you'll understand why I wrote it that way.
I thought that was your signature because it was under that line. That's why I missed it :p (look at my signature and you'll see what I mean)

Do you see how it's dashed? Although, I never really did notice the line above the tag until you said something.

People talk about how bad drugs are but only a few will tell you that it feels good. That is what makes it so dangerous.

with sin its the opposite, the truth is magically awesome, like mountain air, but sin which we think will be a shortcut or something selfish, is pure misery.

There is no sin which satisfies, no selfish end which relieves the strain of its own weight. This is why we must view sin as a net, that is cast to destroy our freedom.

We are all slaves to something and designed to serve something. Whether its speed, or smoking, or God, or Porn, or the perfect relationship, where your treasure is there your heart will be also.

This is a great retelling of the plank v. speck. Adds a new dimension to the observation.

Ritter, you read my mind. That passage was going through my mind as I was writing this.
