1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
This never says to do this over and over again it says if you adnit that you are a sinner then youwillrecieve the forgiveness of christ. no where in the new testament under the New Covenant after the death of christ does any one of the Apostles ever say to ask for more forgiveness after they have recieved the reconciliation of being forgiven at the cross.
It is no where to be found after the death of christ
Also this letter was written to a Pastor that had a group of people that some beleived that Christ did not come in the flesh and others believed this to be that he did, so this leader of the group wrote toJohn on the Island of Patmos to please write back and so John did write back
1 John 1:1That which was from the beginning, which
we have heard, which
we have seen with our eyes, which
we have looked upon, and
our hands
have handled, of the Word of life;
1 John 1:2(For the life was manifested, and
we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us
1 John 1:3That
which we have seen and heard declare
we unto you,
that ye also may
have fellowship with us:
and truly our fellowship is with the Father,
and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1 John 1:4And these things write we unto you,
that your joy may be full.
1 John 1:5This
then
is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him
is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:6If
we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness,
we lie, and do not the truth:
1 John 1:7But
if we walk in the light, as he is
in the light,
we have fellowship one with another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:8
If
we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:9If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Do you know that in the origiunal translation the greek it states to have already forgiven you your sins and there is nowhere else in the word that says we need more forgiveness and I know Chriust came in the flesh and I know I ahve sinned and am thankful that I am a forgiven person 100% by and at the cross of Christ and am not takiing advantage of this because

Hebrews 10:1[
Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All ] The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.
For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
Hebrews 10:2Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered?
For the worshipers would have been cleansed
once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty

1 John 2:1My dear children,
I write this to you so that
