I've been wanting to stretch my vocal range for a while now, but I've also been sick for almost two months. I lost my voice worse than ever before. For a singer to lose her voice, it's like death. My range is usually fairly average: about 2 octaves practice and performance. Tonight we had a shared service with my church and the congregation that rents our building which is a Spanish speaking Pentecostal congregation. The pastors wife has a healing anointing. And he prayed, my voice feels better and as I was practicing tonight I hit 3 octaves. I hit a high c#. That would be the high note in the Phantom of the Opera. I am a Soprano, but I usually sing low as I sing background vocals mostly... And I can't sing my real comfortable range when I lead because people just stare at me like "don't expect me to son that!". Anyway, I'm still sick, but I'm glad my voice is back.

Glad that your voice is better! Being a terrible singer myself, I really appreciate our worship team at Church.
