I want to keep this straight to the point without my interjections. I want a non biased opinion and wisdom about this situation.

On Monday, Father-in-law text my husband: I want to take you and your two sisters out for your birthday.
My husband never mentions the text to me. He said that he forgot.

On Friday, husband states his sisters sent him a text about having the dinner tonight.
Husband then sends me text stating these exact words:

"Hey baby, my dad wants to take my sisters and i out for dinner tonight, however, i told him that i wasn't available tonight. Do u think that 2morrow around noon is better?"

My confusion and question is, am I invited? (doesn't sound like it)

Ask him?....

PS If you are not invited, do not get any ideas about it being about them in general not wanting you there, sometimes families like to do stuff only with their closest family members. I think it is important for families to have time of their own on occasions :)

To me it sounds like he assumes you know you're invited since he asked you about the time.

Just ask him :) .
