Our God is good,
we try to be likewise
but it's not about perfection,
it's about learning to be better over time.
We make huge mistakes and are mortified that we do.
We pick ourselves up, we pray about it, try to put things right
and probably dwell on it for days, weeks, maybe months
but more than that we learn a difficult lesson.
We're better for it having happened.
He allows us to make mistakes
in order to grow.
