Thought it would be interesting to see peoples stand on the subject.
for what it's worth this is not meant to start a debate on the subject, just a poll to see members of CC's view.

Its kinda tough to say anything in the universe isnt providential.
So i rekon the question needs more qualifiers to answer.

An interesting sub question would be if you think Israel is part of God's plan are the people currently residing there part of his plan ?

I haven't found reason to believe they are. Hopefully one day perhaps they will live at peace with their neighbors. Peace is always better than senseless war.

We don't know God's intent.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Amen.

Define what you mean by "Is physical Israel still part of God's plan according to scripture?"

I think that he means physical Israel which is the state of Israel, and spiritual Israel which is the church of God.

But he just said "physical Israel".

God's desire for physical Israel is the same as his desire for physical Ghana, physical North Korea, physical Lesotho.
He wants them reconciled through Jesus.

There is no longer a distinction between Israel and non-Israel.
Jesus tore down that wall/distinction.
We need to quit trying to erect the thing Jesus tore down.

Ephesians 2

[SUP]11 [/SUP]So then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh—called “the uncircumcised” by those called “the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands. [SUP]12 [/SUP]At that time you were without the Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh, [SUP]15 [/SUP]He made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace. [SUP]16 [/SUP]He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]17 [/SUP]When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. [SUP]18 [/SUP]For through Him we both have accessby one Spirit to the Father. [SUP]19 [/SUP]So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, [SUP]20 [/SUP]built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. [SUP]21 [/SUP]The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. [SUP]22 [/SUP]You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.

(Romans 11; 11-36)
Peace be with you, it's always been and it will always be. i say humbly and in humility about them, that it is not because of anything good or bad they have conducted towards GOD of their ancestors. It is just simply because of the promised GOD made to Abraham that would be fulfill through one of his 'offspring' (JESUS of Nazareth). This is who Moses and Prophets spoke about.
What then?
It is written as Prophesy that; All of this must come to past, since the nation of Israel will reject the MESSIAH of the Good News, because of GOD's grace the same message (the crumbs of the New Covenant) will go to the Gentiles.
The vessel of the LORD ministering to the scattered Jews and Gentiles, Apostle Paul mentioned in the story of the 'cultivated olive tree' and the 'wild olive tree". Also he mentioned to Gentiles not to be proud who can lose their salvation when the physical Israel nation start having faith.
Example, 'one is true children and another is adopted to the same faith'.
But over all GOD consider us all equally HIS children when we keep on remembering the truth and practice them in behavior and speech being a true witness to those who are blind and deaf to eternal salvation.
An unworthy servant of CHRIST merely doing my duty. May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST bless the 'nation of Israel' whom we must be thankful to, and also pray; 'to keep them save from all of their enemies'. This is in the Gospel spoken by CHRIST to HIS disciples.

Yes "true" Israel has been through a very serious judgement from God, but it will soon be lifted up. The curses of Deuteronomy 28, which feel upon them and is still on them will soon be no more.

Deuteronomy 28:44"He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail."

Israel will no longer be the first fired, last hired, nor beg of bread for those above him.

Deuteronomy 28:16"“Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country."

Israel will no longer be in poverty, living in the slums of America, and in the Islands, and all scattered places.

Deuteronomy 28:32"Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all day long; and there shall be no strength in your hand."

Israel was carried here to America aka Babylon the Great on ships, but Great Babylon's end is coming. An end of an age, after this Israel will no longer be the scorn of the nations.

Deuteronomy 28:43"The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower."

Israel has been oppressed for centuries, but Israel has no one to blame for themselves for God warned them. But let Israel now rejoice the curse will soon be lifted. Israel will no longer hear the hissing of the nations, and no longer hear the mocking of them.

Deuter 28:44"He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail."

Those seated in the higher places of this world, is not Israel. All Israel get is from those above them.

Dueter 28:54"The sensitive and very refined man among you will be hostile toward his brother, toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the rest of his children whom he leaves behind,"

Israel will no longer be hostile to his brother. He will no longer gun down his brother in gang violence, he will no longer plot and covert his brother in jealousy. They will no longer make music about how much more money they have than their brother, or material wealth in hate towards his own brother. He will also no longer leave his wife, and end the single parent house hold among Israel. Israel right now has the highest rate of single mothers, but no more it will end.

Let those who have wisdom study these verses and determine, who Israel is.

I don't understand Hebrew enough to know if that was sung in Hebrew. So I'm wondering if the singers are converted Jews? Or have they not yet accepted Christ? Because if or when they have recognized their Lord and Savior, then I'll sing and dance that song along with them. :D

Sho nuff...

Romans 11:28-29 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
