Growing up I was raised in a church which trained me to pray for friends who were very ill
or in serious trouble. So I did pray for them, but I can't remember many people helped by
my prayers. It wasn't the Lord's fault, but I was sure, and still am that it was my fault for
not having the right relationship with the Lord. When I got my illness almost 12 years ago,
it was my wife who organized the prayers and although I was supposed to be dying I am
still here and I thank the wonderful Lord Jesus. I also thank the wonderful Protestants and Catholics who
prayed for me! After being healed...I was ready to pray for others and I am sure that at least I had alot of faith.

There was a lady in the support group of my illness, that I will call Theresa, and her daughter was
near being grown and had the same illness that almost killed me except she had it worse. Theresa
told our group about her daughter and I sent her a copy of my prayer for her daughter. She thanked me
for praying and told me that she used to pray for Andrea also, but it didn't seem to do any good at all and
she had stopped. She told me that she loved her daughter more than anything on earth and she had
to watch her die a little bit every day. I prayed more and told Theresa. One day she told me that was ready to start
praying again for Andrea, but then asked if she should pray the way I did, like most Protestants do or
as she was taught, like the Catholics do. I had no idea that they were Catholic, but I asked the Lord in prayer
what to do and I was told not to forbid her for her praying. She could pray her way, and I could pray my way,
the important thing was to pray for the healing.

The specialist wanted to operate, but it was way to risky and so little was done, but we prayed. Andrea
slowly seemed to get better and so I prayed every day for her and I just continued it.
Illnesses like this do not just go away, not that I ever say anyway, but after two years Andrea was alive, but
her illness was gone. Thanks go to Jesus! The only way! During those two years I prayed every day that
I could although to be truthful I probably misses a handful of days when I was over worked or very tired.

This healing brought me joy, and guess what else? Why more faith. Thank you, Jesus!!!
