This weekend, a small group from my church has the opportunity to set up a table at a Deaf expo and witness. We had an hourly drawing and gave out free water and juice.
As the day progressed, word quickly spread that we had free ice cold water available. Near the end of the day, a big burly deaf man came up and asked if we had free water. I assured him we did and gave him a bottle. I then began to talk to him. He had gone to church off and on, with an interpreter (many have no interepreter). However, no one had ever explained to him the amazing love of God that would send Jesus to die on a cross so that he might have eternal life. I asked him if I could share this wonderful news with him, and he agreed.
After a few minutes, this man prayed and accepted Jesus as his Savior. He immediately enveloped me in a huge bear hug and rather emotionally thanked me over and over and over for explaining this to him so he could understand. He came to get a cold bottled water but he left with the Lving Water!
That is a moment I will never forget! Thank you Jesus!
