Do you examine your favorite Christian music artists/bands for living that is actually consistent with Christian values? Or do you think they are Christian simply because they make good Christian music?

There have been a lot of musicians who have crossed over from the Christian music realm to the secular one. The transitions can be quite blasphemous at times (Katy Perry for example).

How can you be sure that your favorite musicians are actually living the life they are singing about? Does it even matter?
