Re: Where did God Promise

If someone tells you they are going to 'provide' for you, don't you have to accept that provision, might be hard for some to do, maybe, that proposal won't prove he can provide for you.

Covenant is symbiotic, nilE.

This is not only all-inclusive of a word, it is REFLEXIVE

Re: Where did God Promise

Well, not exactly.
The NT presents it differently.

The new covenant promised in Jer 31 was cut in the blood of Jesus on the cross.
It is an unconditional covenant guaranteeing the promised eternal inheritance (Heb 9:15):
1) to put God's laws in the minds of his people,
2) to write them on their hearts,
.
You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. [SUP]3 [/SUP]You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Re: Where did God Promise

In studying Romans 1:2 I see that the word for 'promised beforehand' is in the middle deponent. This tells me that God vowed to Himself in the OT to bring about the Gospel. Does anyone know some verses where God SPECIFICALLY promised Himself that the Gospel will be brought about?

All things have come to pass to save us :)
