It has been bothering me lately as I have been thinking about the Genoside in Rhuanda where one million Hutus were Murdered by their Tutsi neighbours.
Thes people were advised by their leaders to take sanctuary in the churches rather than escape into the forests.
This made it very easy for their murderers to kill them.
There are many examples in the Bible where God told his people to do nothing as he would fight for them.
For example God told Moses to stand still as he would defeat the Egyptians for them.
I realise that that the spiritual meaning of these passages of scripture refered to us doing nothing to work for our salvation but on a historical level but I can't help wondering what has changed in these latter days.
In my personal life when faced with danger will I remember the Israelites or the Hutus?
