From time to time I've thought that if I ever get to the point where I
cannot make my own decisions, or faced with increasing mobility issues,
that I would rather die.

Then ive thought well..why?

Its because I would not want to be neglected, misunderstood, abused,
laughed at, a burden etc.

I would not want my care to be restricted by finances, or find myself in a poor
quality home with awful staff, just because I was poor.

Its lack of care, neglect and finances which fuels most reasons for
Euthanisia.

Agree. ... and the fact that people should feel this way in the first place tells us something about the priorities of our society
