Savior In Lamblight
Written by
Christopher Brownie

One glorious morn, from earth’s grip torn, I arose into horizons of old.
My spirit was born, in garments unworn by beings on streets of gold.
Indescribable rapture, my heart did capture as mysteries revealed unfold.
In golden pasture, my finite stature, sang thankful praises untold.
With darkness ended, I had ascended, to plains beyond mortal men.
With broken hearts mended, redeemed souls defended, I worshipped my God and friend.
I saw my Savior adorned in lamb-light and his glory outshines the sun
for there is none like him in all the universe, no there is not one.

Mount Zion’s throne, sat he alone, with omnipotent power and might
With words of stone, and a thunderous tone, he rebukes the prince of night.
Such a sight to see, the dark one flee, in a fearful frightening flight
For a coward is he, in the presence of thee, the Savior in lamb-light.
Praise can be heard, from the great star’s words, to the soft melody of rain.
Worship is stirred, from his joyful herd, to redeemed souls’ healed pain.
I saw my Savior adorned in lamb-light and his glory outshines the sun
For there is none like him in all the universe, no there is not one.

With thoughts of thunder, a world of wonder came forth from the abyss.
Lost in plunder, one was sent asunder, with the Almighty’s glorious fist.
There he did dwell, after he fell, from heavenly skies missed.
From the pit of hell, his pride would swell, as he gave a deathly kiss.
Astray man went, unable to repent, of evils already done.
But from heaven sent, a crimson stream went, from he that overcomes.
I saw my Savior adorned in lamb-light and his glory outshines the sun
For he alone saved me from my sin, Jesus Christ the only one.
