Japan PM vows to save ISIS hostages threatened with beheading in new video

Japan's Prime Minister vowed Tuesday to save the lives of two Japanese hostages, one a freelance journalist and the other a soldier for hire, threatened with beheading in an online video purportedly released by the Islamic State terror group.

In the video, identified as being made by the Islamic State group's al-Furqan media arm and posted on militant websites associated with the extremist group, a militant threatened to kill the men unless a $200 million ransom was paid within 72 hours.
In summary, Abe will send $200 million to ISIS to use to acquire weapons, finance propaganda and recruiting, and increase it's power base to save two men, one of whom is a mercenary and the other of which is a freelance journalist. I'll leave aside the question as to whether they should have been there in the first place.

First Europe, and now Asia, playing into the hands of ISIS.

Q: Why do you suppose they aren't beheading American or British hostages this time around?

A: We didn't pay up the first couple times.

France admits soldiers have deserted to ISIS, including ex-elite special forces and French foreign legionnaires: France admits soldiers have deserted to ISIS, including ex-elite special forces and French foreign legionnaires | National Post
Sounds like propaganda:
: ideas or statements that are often false or exaggerated and that are spread in order to help a cause, a political leader, a government, etc.

Is it "healthy" or "healthful"?

[h=2]Full Definition of PROPAGANDA[/h]1
capitalized : a congregation of the Roman curia having jurisdiction over missionary territories and related institutions

2
: the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person

3
: ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause; also : a public action having such an effect

Manipulation of information to influence public opinion. The term comes from Congregatio de Propaganda Fide (Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith), a missionary organization established by the pope in 1622. Propagandists emphasize the elements of information that support their position and deemphasize or exclude those that do not. Misleading statements and even lies may be used to create the desired effect in the public audience. Lobbying, advertising, and missionary activity are all forms of propaganda, but the term is most commonly used in the political arena. Prior to the 20th century, pictures and the written media were the principal instruments of propaganda; radio, television, motion pictures, and the Internet later joined their ranks. Authoritarian and totalitarian regimes use propaganda to win and keep the support of the populace. In wartime, propaganda directed by a country at its own civilian population and military forces can boost morale; propaganda aimed at the enemy is an element ofpsychological warfare.

Governments have been using this tactic since the beginning of time. Are you a secret agent/under cover CIA/FBI?
