If I had terminal anything and it was only going to get worse before the end, then I would go for the same thing. It's ridiculous to force someone to leave out the rest of their death sentence because of some squeamish reaction to the concept of saving them from pain early. As long as someone is sane and competent, let them make their own decisions.
