When I needed it, about twelve years ago, my longtime wife prayed for me and my recovery
and asked many other Christians to pray for me. When the prayers were
answered and I began to heal, I was grateful to the Lord for it all and of course also to my wife.
I prayed that one day I could pray for her and help her as I had been helped.

I did pray for her when she was ill and it seemed to help. Then came the day just three or four years after
my own illness that she really needed help. I had just finished our dinner of some type of small steak and
I was in the next room watching the TV and she was finishing her meal. All of a sudden she came running into
the room and there was absolute panic in her eyes. She looked at me and pointed in her throat, and I knew
that a piece of meat was caught in her wind pipe and she could not breathe.

I got behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist just under the rib cage and hugged her hard and then
another time harder. Out came two little pieces of meat and she breathed and later told me that she thought
she would surely die right then and there. Now I had never done the Heimlich manuver and I don't even know if I spelled it right here. But once, I had been casually watching a TV program about a person who was choking at a dinner and another customer saved him with this manuver. Was it God's plan that I see that portrayed in a TV program and remember how to use it to save my own wife and to repay a debt?

I think so. All good things come from above. Thank you, Jesus.

Not sure if it was God's plan or not, though I would be one to think that God helped you and showed goodness to you that when the time was upon you you were able to help your wife for God.

I really enjoyed this story indeed. Some people look for big wonderous signs and stuff, but I've always felt like some of the greatest miracles from God are very simple. This is a very good story and I am glad it have a happy ending indeed.

I have no problem with your story. God does work in mysterious ways. Chances are He put that maneuver in your mind when you needed it, whether you saw it on tv or not. I am glad all worked out for the better. I am glad you thank Our Father first, rather than television, or that's the order that thanks should come.
