B
God knows that once you have experience a sincere relationship with Him, you will long for His presence again. He is standing on the porch of eternity and looking down the path of your life, waiting for you to realize, "I need to go home to my Father." As you return, God will not chastise you, because life has already done so. His compassion will embrace you, His righteousness will kiss you, and His peace will envelop you. He will call for a celebration, not a jury, and He will defend you against all who would question His faithfulness and forgiveness.
Healing and wholeness often come to us progressively as we develop and sustain a relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ. Like the father of the Prodigal, God the Father waits for us. He waits while we are disobedient and rebellious. He waits during our seasons of wasted strength and potential. He is long-suffering as we go through periods of trying to find something or someone to replace His voice. He waits for us to come to ourselves, overcome our pride, remember His goodness, rehearse our apology, and come home to His presence. "Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" (Psalm 16:11).
