hello everyone and how are you? can I ask you something...if you were to die and stand before God tonight and He was to ask you...why should I let you into Heaven...what would you reply?
Heaven is the place of perfect love, joy, peace, goodness and only those who have been perfectly loving towards God and perfectly good all the time belong there...only Jesus has been perfectly loving towards God and perfectly good all the time...so only through Jesus can we be forgiven our sins if we turn to Him in love and turn from our sins...only then can we be accepted into God's presence and into Heaven forever
have you turned to God in love through Jesus and turned from your sins or do you remain in your sins so that God has every right to remain deeply angry with you and punish you for all eternity in hell forever?

Dear carolineh,

My answer would be simple, "because I trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior" and He has guaranteed me a place in His kingdom. However, I see your point. Scripture is full of references to the fact that Christians should "walk the walk" as well as "talk the talk". It has been my experience that when you truly trust God, you want to please Him, not out of fear but because you know He is right.

Every one of us could probably do with a little self examination in these areas. But remember, being a Christian is a journey, not a destination. We are never truly sanctified until we stand before Christ's judgment seat and pass into the Kingdom of Heaven.

God be with you.

I don't think God will ask me that. We talk everyday, why would he ask me that when we've been best buds for so long? He's not going to say, "Why should I let you in?" He will more likely say, "Finally, you're here! Welcome home kid!"

But if he did ask me that, I think I would say, "Jesus! I've lived every day for you the best that I knew how. I know it wasn't very good according to your standards, but I did try to bring glory to you and your Father, and I want to be with you until the end of time. I want nothing more than to sit outside your door and listen to you breathe. I just need to be near you. That's why you have to let me in! I chose you everyday, and I choose you now!"
